Krasnoselskaya metro station was built in the years 1935. At that time it was the city outskirts. Over the years in this area of the city a lot of construction going on.  Now there are houses up to 16 floors. The author proposes to build a house on the existing entrance to the subway. Entrance to the house is through an extension to the northern part of the existing building. Three residential floors with a total of 33 apartments pieces will be added above the existing building. New superstructure form consistent with the form of the existing building, and as it is its continuation. The area of the smallest apartments of 23.3 square meters. The apartments are designed for single people living an active life. The distance from the exit from the apartment house to the entrance to the underground 50 meters, it is very convenient for business people working in the city or for students.

Plan B : City Above the City architecture competition 
 

Metsä Wood challenged architects and students around the world to push the boundaries of modern wood building design in the urban environment. Entrants from 40 countries created their Plan B to urbanisation using wood (Kerto® LVL – laminated veneer lumber) as the main material. The task was to design a wooden extension to an existing urban building. The entries were designed to 69 cities worldwide.
