By Elena Elgani, Chantal Forzatti, Maria Letizia Novarese & Paola Zocchi

Modular Carpet is a versatile and sustainable housing system, placed on top of the covering of buildings to satisfy the need for new free space within the densely built urban fabric. It consists of an equipped base hosting the plans necessary for establishing individual modular housing units, which are designed to be easily assembled in different ways. Originally designed for the urban context of Milano, this project can be easily adjusted and scaled to be applied to any other city in the world.
