As decking has continued to grow in popularity over the years, Finnforest has continued to develop its range of decking products to meet growing demands. Fully certified and suitable for use in both commercial and residential applications, Finnforest’s recently launched Composite Decking range provides an environmentally friendly addition to Finnforest’s decking offering.
Produced with the appearance of rich hardwood timber deck boards, Finnforest’s Composite Decking is produced using a 90% combination of recycled hardwood and polyethylene products. Competitively priced when compared to alternative composite decking products, Finnforest’s Composite deck board delivers a durable, hard-wearing alternative to traditional sawn timber decking without compromising on the appearance of the landscaped area, making it particularly suitable for use in commercial applications.
Where a low maintenance decking system is required, Finnforest’s Composite Decking offers the ideal solution. Due to its weather resistant surface Composite Decking requires no paint, sealant, wood stain or waterproofing treatment and will continue to retain its natural appearance year after year. As such, its hard wearing surface is easy to clean and requires very little maintenance.
Rated by the DeckMark Plus scheme with a ‘low potential for slip’, the Composite Decking from Finnforest conforms to relevant British Standards. Combined with its low maintenance characteristic this makes it ideal for specification in commercial applications where ‘fit and forget’ products are often utilised in order to keep life costs down.
Operated by the TDA (Timber Decking Association), the DeckMark plus scheme recognises quality assurance standards. As such, Composite Decking has been tested to British Standards to ensure a product that is both safe and fit for purpose.
Although manufactured from recycled materials, Finnforest’s Composite Decking retains the natural timber appearance expected from a decking system, making it particularly suitable for use in areas where aesthetics are just as important as functionality and appealing to architects and landscape designers.
Available in 3.6m lengths, the Composite Decking range comes complete with a corresponding edging batten which can be fixed to the open ends of the deckboards to deliver a flush, uniform finish. If required the boards can also be simply cut to size using standard tools. Fixed using secret fix clips to deliver a continuous surface free of screws or fixings, Composite Decking can be fitted virtually anywhere and provides an all-weather surface that can be used throughout the year.
Marcus Sanders, UK Marketing Manager for Finnforest, commented, “With one of the widest product portfolios in the UK, this new Composite Decking range represents just one of Finnforest’s six decking options. Introduced to respond to market needs, the new Composite range provides a premium quality product at an extremely attractive price and enables the merchant to draw from even more, supplying the customer with an extended decking range with quality at its core.”
