Metsä Wood at Timber Expo

Challenging perceptions of engineered wood

Published: 16/07/2015 00:00

Metsä Wood will be exhibiting at Timber Expo, part of UK Construction Week on 6 – 8 October at the NEC, Birmingham.  We will be challenging perceptions of what is possible with engineered wood, showcasing Kerto LVL through reimagined historical buildings (known as Plan B) as well as a number of recent projects as a highly aesthetic and sustainable option which is efficient and fast to construct.

Metsä Wood will also be giving a practical Toolbox Talk on Spanning the Distance in Engineered Wood Products. In particular, Metsä Wood’s Head of Technical, Engineering and Design Frank Werling, will discuss how the introduction of EWP BIM objects can help facilitate the specification of timber as a viable alternative to steel.

Bringing together nine shows under one roof, UK Construction Week will be the biggest construction trade event the UK has seen in years.  Taking place at the Birmingham NEC from 6 – 11 October (with the trade only days from 6 – 8 October) the event will unite 1,000 exhibitors with an expected audience of 55,000 visitors.

Come and meet us on stand T3/301 and listen in to our Toolbox Talk 7th & 8th October at 11.30am. Click here to register for free on the UK Construction website.
