From 1st July 2013, the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) replaced the
Construction Products Directive (CPD)
This now makes CE marking
compulsory for many construction products in Europe including a range of timber
and timber based products.
The CPR applies to any product placed on the
European market, which is produced for permanent incorporation in construction
works, including both buildings and civil engineering works, whether they are
structural or not, and which is subject to a harmonised technical specification.
CPR’s main objective with CE marking is to ensure that construction
products are safe by considering performance levels, ensuring the products are
fit for purpose. All in the supply chain: manufacturers, importers and
resellers, have a responsibility to provide evidence to demonstrate the product
conformity with relevant information and documentation.
In order to
comply with CPR documentation, invoices, delivery notes and product
labelling need to carry the appropriate information and each product
needs to have a Declaration of Performance certificate – or DoP.
We have created a dedicated database making it easier
for our customers to comply with CE CPR legislation. For access simply
